Happy Birthday

What a great day to be alive. It's my Birthday and I am 31, and today it is in the high forties and foggy, but at least it's not in the teens and snowing. I love the weather today, and I have received some good gifts, Mom's Subway card and Gram offering to babysit, also all the wishes online and on the phone. I made a carrot cake and when it's cool will do cream cheese frosting, Ben gave me an awesome massage yesternight and I'm going to get a nap today. Next Thursday will be the big day when we find out the gender. Pretty good week so far:)

A Looooooooooooong Time!

It has been a long time since I have posted. Right now I am using the laptop as the computer sort of blew, I think it just kept overheating and then it kept shutting down on it's own(little creepy at first) and then it just went. Leah and Johnny will turn 8 and two in April, really not that far away. Then Eric and Mikey will turn 10 and 4, I am really anticipating this because it means I can put Mikey in school this fall (yeah!). Then in June we will welcome another baby to the family and we will find out the sex the beginning of next month. When I have taken some new pictures I will post them as I am so far behind and probably will never catch up, I will leave that be. I am so excited for spring and can't wait until I can plant my garden, I love to garden and this will be the first real year in a while. So along with my cherry tree, apple tree, high bush blueberries, raspberies, blackberries, I will be adding 2 pecan trees, two heartnut trees, 2 more high bush blueberries, some purple raspberries, a peach and apricot tree, and some more grapes, also a cherry tree and apple tree. I love to grow things and then be able to use what they grow. I will leave at this and promise not to leave so long between posts again:)

Hospital Stay

Tuesday morning I went in to my doctor's appt and they monitored the baby and took my blood pressure and low and behold, it was up again. It was 158/100 and they were really concerned so decided that I was going to stay. So I went home and got some things together. When I got here they didn't have the doctor's orders yet so I sat around for 2 hours reading and feeling really hungry. Then they finally got my orders and I was able to order lunch. Lois, my midwife came in and said we're going to do a 24 hour urine and lab work and if things look good I could go home on bedrest, yeah. Nope, the doctor came in yesterday and told me that things are better but not great so I will probably be here until I have the baby. I am almost 37 weeks, and the lady who did my ultrasound said, why don't they induce you now, your baby will be fine, he's a big boy. Dr says, has to have a diagnosis, in order to induce early, I do not want to be here until the 26th of April, I told him that if we went by my original due date I'd already be 39 weeks and it would be fine. Still a lot of waiting. The good thing is my meals are covered and I finally get internet, bad thing, I miss my family like crazy. Ben is going to bring the kids in tonight. I really miss them. Wish me luck!

Happy Easter, Beautiful Weather

The Easter weekend was beautiful and then for Easter we went up to my parents in Dover for Easter and Conference. The kids had a fun time and the food was great. My mom is always so thoughtful because she always manages to get the kids something she knows they'll like. My Gram made the best bread. I can just eat it and eat it.

We are having a Birthday party for Leah this year and are inviting her class, which is very exciting for her and a little stressful for me but my mom gave me a great idea. Leah said she wants cupcakes and not a cake and mom said just buy candy and let the kids decorate their own so I think I will do that. We will also do a pinata and I will make goodie bags as soon as I know how many kids will be there. Luckily for me she is the only one this year who wants a big party. Eric says he just wants his family there.

It is another beautiful day and another uncomfortable night for me, I'm always too hot and my left hand was bothering me, also my feet are swelling. 3 more weeks to go!

Rain Rain Go Away

It is still raining and now the weather forcast says it won't be done until tomorrow, what happened to it being done today? It will really nice this weekend which is supposed to be 70 and Sunny, a perfect Easter if you ask me. My kids are excited about Easter being so close, well not Mike, I don't think he really knows what's going on, but Eric and Leah remember. Mikey didn't go to bed until 10:30pm last night so is still sleeping, yeah, I get a little quiet time. Normally when I take a nap I do it when Mike is sleeping also, that way Ben gets a break. We get to go to my folks for Easter and Conference. The kids are excited to go to Grammy's. I told Leah for her birthday she could pick out a pinata at the party store and we'd do goodie bags and cake and ice cream. It should be fun. We're getting her a scooter and a helmet and I found one of those bathing suit dresses at the store, it's sort of like towel material. All Eric wants for his birthday is "How to Train Your Dragon" stuff, so that will be easy. I will try to remember to take pictures on Easter. A good Easter to all!

Haircuts

Yesterday I took Mikey to get his hair cut at Walmart, it was time for the official haircut. You have to understand how apprehensive I was but he did great, he was fabulous, sat there like a big boy. Then today Leah wanted her hair cut so we went to work, Leah I am sad to say is not as easy to do, she moved around a lot but she wanted it short so that is what I did. Luckily she forgot about the makeup part. But I must say she looks very cute, like a pixie.

A Cloudy Day

It is a cloudy day out today,it looks like it might rain. I got to sleep in this morning, it was wonderful, eventually I had to get up to eat. I have 4 more weeks of this pregnancy left. Yesterday night I was feeling like I needed some fresh air, so I went and walked at the track, I did a couple of laps in 15 minutes, then I went over to a friends house for a few minutes, and headed over to Pattys to talk about Visiting Teaching. I had a good evening and my mom invited us to go to Conference with them on Sunday the 4th and then Easter dinner. A lot is going next month, Easter, Leah's Birthday, and a new baby. The Dentist told Ben that we need to start weening Mike from his pacifier, I said, not yet, not with a new baby coming, he's going to need it, but we are trying to only give it to him to sleep, he's doing pretty well.

We are heading to the Post Office and then to the library. Did I mention that Ben got a calling as assistant Scout Master, he's so excited and since Eric will be going into scouts in May it's a good idea. The only problem I had with it was that I am the Activity Days assistant, and they are the same night at the same time, go figure. We figure though, if they want us they will let us do every other week, we'll see how it goes.
